Plain-English summary. By using Gigz you agree to follow our community rules, treat other users with respect, and not misuse the platform. Customers pay through the app. Workers earn their full rate plus 100% of tips. Gigz can pause or remove accounts that break these terms. Disputes are handled in Ontario, Canada.

1. Acceptance

By creating a Gigz account or using any Gigz Labs Inc. product you accept these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not accept them, do not use the service.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 to use Gigz as a customer and 18 to register as a worker. Workers must be legally entitled to work in Canada and must complete the Gigz Ready assessment and background check before accepting their first job.

3. How the marketplace works

Gigz Labs Inc. operates a marketplace that connects customers with independent workers. Gigz is not the employer of the workers. Workers set their own availability, accept their own jobs, and operate as independent contractors. Customers contract with workers directly for the work; Gigz handles the matching, payments, and platform infrastructure.

4. Pricing & payments

Rates are displayed in the app at the time of booking based on category, skills, transport, and logistics. Customers pay through Stripe. Workers receive their full hourly fee plus 100% of tips, paid weekly via Stripe direct deposit. Gigz does not take commission from a worker’s hourly fee or from tips.

Refunds may be issued for cancelled or undelivered jobs in line with our refund policy. Disputes are reviewed by Gigz support and may involve worker, customer, and supporting evidence (chat, GPS, photos).

5. Community rules

No harassment, discrimination, threats, or violence. No off-platform payments to circumvent Gigz. No fraudulent jobs, ratings, or accounts. No illegal activity. No impersonation. Customers must provide a safe work environment and accurate job details. Workers must arrive on time, complete the work as agreed, and represent their skills honestly.

Gigz may pause, restrict, or permanently remove accounts that break these rules.

6. Safety tools

The Gigz app includes a 911 emergency dispatching tool, in-app chat with retention for dispute resolution, GPS-tracked job status, and a live support team. Use of these tools is at your discretion; Gigz is not a substitute for emergency services.

7. Intellectual property

The Gigz name, logo, app, website, and all Gigz Labs Inc. content are owned by Gigz Labs Inc. and protected by Canadian and international IP laws. You may not copy, reverse-engineer, or use the marks without written permission.

8. Limitation of liability

Gigz operates a platform connecting independent parties. To the maximum extent allowed by law, Gigz Labs Inc. is not liable for the actions of customers or workers, indirect or consequential damages, or losses arising from the use of the platform beyond the fees paid to Gigz for the relevant transaction. Workers and customers are encouraged to carry appropriate insurance.

9. Changes

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be announced in-app and by email at least 30 days before they take effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the applicable laws of Canada. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Ontario, except where consumer-protection law provides otherwise.
